— I received the P3 1 month and 12 days ago
—I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for my P4
—My interview within 2 weeks
After a long wait, everybody in my QQ group is frustrated about the P4 delays. 禾 and I found out that at the beginning of July, people would still get P4 within one week… after 8th, though, no P4’s have come on time. We started thinking this is not the regular working workflow, because someone who has been waiting since the 23rd of June as well…so what exactly happened? Is it really depends on luck? We don’t know…
Then 简爱 gave us a new update, she had been told that even if you didn’t have your P4 you still can go to the medical exam, her lawyer and friends did. So…I don’t trust her lawyer honestly, so I told her, it’s better not take a risk.
The next day, 木棉 texted me…It seems like she read the chat history, and she asked me, ” is that true you can get the medical exam without the P4?”
She told me someone had called, and you have to have the P4….she suggested that I make a phone call or ask people myself… after all, the interview date is closing in for me too.
And that’s where the story starts….
I made the first phone call…She was a really nice lady. I asked her what paper and things I should bring for getting a medical exam, she said, “The interview time appointment conformation letter and consulate conformation letter.”
I asked her, if I only got one, can I go? How important is that P4 email letter?
She said, “Actually, we just need your information and passport. The P4 letter is just the email between you and consulate that confirms that you can go. However, if you go to your interview, you will still need that email.”
I told her, “I know, I booked the interview date, however, the P4 email hasn’t arrived, is it possible that I can still go?”
She said, “The website where you book the interview is actually just an intermediary, you can’t use that to go to your interview, you have to have the P4, the P4 is from the consulate, it’s the official notice to tell you that you can go to your interview.”
I think she must misunderstand what I asked. I asked “Can I go the hospital with interview appointment paper?, I’m not asking to go to the consulate”…So I asked again, “So you just need the information?”
She said, “Yes. For the P4, they don’t know what it looks like, seems the style keeps changing”
So I am really happy I got this information for 简爱, I went back to my QQ chat box, but this is a lot information to type it out with my little hands and small keyboard on my phone, so I told my group with simple words….and suddenly lots people responded to tell me that I am crazy because you do need the P4, including people who went there without P4 and were rejected, and those who already had their interview, they all said, you have to have P4 in order to go to your medical exam.
I am under pressure, so I made a second call, and that man seems unsure about his answer too. He didn’t say yes and didn’t say no, either.
So I asked him, “How does the process normally work there?”
He said, “We need your passport, your name, the case number, and case type, we need that put in our medical exam system, then you can have your results as a package.”
I asked, “Do they need keep P4?” He said “no.”
I went back to my interview appointment paper….I saw all the information except the case number, and of course the website doesn’t have it…ok…Now I am clear why the hospital needs the P4 now…P4 perhaps doesn’t have interview booking time, because we schedule that ourselves…but it has the case number, and these two papers, together, is the full information for the hospital to put into the database.
I did see a lot of people say that we need the p4 for medical exam and I did see that people who were rejected by the hospital because they don’t have the P4, so I am going to see what we can do from here…
